Nature Immersion (4/7)

By: Julie Elledge

Nature Immersion Walks

From our home in Jackson Hole, the coaches of Mentor Agility enjoy the privilege of partnering with the dramatic nature that surrounds us to help clients clear their minds, redefine their narratives and enhance their creativity. For many clients, a directed, moderated walk through the natural world provides the impetus and inspiration to unlock their own creative abilities and discover their truer narratives.

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. —Albert Einstein

Course Details

This course introduces you to the challenges of working in nature and how to harness the transformational power of Mother Nature in coaching. In the shadows of The Grand Tetons, nestled into the largest intact ecosystem of the Yellowstone corridor, we have refined nature coaching over the last few decades. From the landscape that inspired the first national park in the world, you will learn the foundations of a proven, successful coaching process that will work in any landscape. Some of the specific skills you will learn to include:

  • How do you work in nature ethically?
  • How does the environment affect clients’ well-being?
  • How to create clear agreements with clients in an unstable environment?
  • How do coaches facilitate client insight and learning using nature as a tool, reflective practice, and metaphor?

Schedules

Wednesdays from April 7, 2021 – May 5, 2021at 1:30 to 3:30 PM MST. Total of 5 classes.

Note – for ICF, the course provides 12 CE’s: 9.5 Core Competency, 2.5 Resource Development.
