While many dietary regimens focus on specific nutrients and portions that should be consumed, this course covers the impacts of omitting specific nutrients on overall health.
Six weekly one-hour sessions
- Help coaches understand the interactions of nutrients impact overall health, and how omitting specific nutrients as part of a specific dietary regimen can impact health.
- Provide strategies for coaches working with clients who are participating in a restrictive dietary regimen.
- Help coaches work better with clients who are participating in specific dietary regimens to ensure health issues aren’t a by-product of the special diet.
What are some of the restrictive dietary regimens that are covered?
We concentrate on restrictive regimens like Ketotonic, hormonal, Vegan and similar diets used by clients wishing to lose weight or attain other goals. (Need more examples) in which many nutrient types are restricted or eliminated.
What are the prerequisites for this workshop?
We recommend that participants in this workshop have more than a basic background in nutrition and its impacts on overall health.
Does this focus primarily on weight management diets?
Weight management provides a significant level of adherence to restrictive diets, but there are other reasons for people to go on restrictive diets. This course will review both the specific regimens as well as the health concerns they are designed to address.
